Booking Terms and Conditions and a Guide to Use of Our Campsite

You are requesting and accepting a booking on the assumption that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and the Guide to Use of Our Campsite. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.



Your booking is secured by paying a deposit (please phone or email for rates). The balance is payable on arrival.The initial booking may be changed by phone or email at any time up to 14 days before the start of the stay, subject to there still being space available.. The following may be changed – booked dates, numbers of adults and children, booking name and contact details, email address, vehicle registration numbers.

We will accept group bookings under certain circumstances (Please contact owners for details). Single sex groups and parties of young adults are taken only at the discretion of the owners. Unaccompanied groups of teenagers under the age of 18 are not accepted.

Arrivals on site after 13:30, Depart site before 12:00.



The deposit is not refundable.

We will refund balance payments for fully paid bookings cancelled more than 7 days from the start of the stay - the cancellation should be by email or in writing. No refunds will be given for bookings cancelled within 7 days of the start of the stay.



Information about features, facilities and services at Highwood Camping is accurate at the time of listing on our website, but it is possible that some of these features, facilities and services may not be available or be replaced/updated at the time you take your holiday.


Health and Safety

Please observe the speed limit of 10mph over the whole Campsite, please drive with care at all times. It should be noted that the camping site is a farm field, and as such there may be natural hazards. We do our utmost to ensure the safety or our visitors, but cannot guarantee the field is completely free of natural hazards. As such tents should be pitched a reasonable distance from other tents to avoid tripping over guy ropes. We do provide some solar lights but to ensure your own safety you should bring a torch.

By making this booking, you accept that you must take reasonable care for you and your party's safety.


Campsite Guide

We allow camping in tents and trailer tents.


We do not allow caravans, or motor homes on the site. Camper vans are welcome.


Driving to toilets or showers is not permitted.


We allow campfires (at allocated sites) and barbeques on site


We do not allow amplified music on site at any time, please adhere to a noise curfew of 23.00, noise carries and we have neighbours nearby.


We reserve the right to evict anyone at anytime who is acting unreasonably to the detriment of other campers the site staff or the public with no compensation or refund payable.


Our shower and toilets are cleaned on a regular basis, please understand if some of the facilities are out of use for a short time


We are an energy efficient and sustainable campsite and as such we would ask you to recycle all of your rubbish in the relevant bins provided on site.


Please adhere to the guides of use posted in the showers and compost loos


Fire Regulations

Please observe the six metre rule when pitching your tent, there is plenty of space in our field.



We will use the information you provide to us in order to:

- process your booking

- verify financial transactions

- investigate and resolve any problems with any products or services supplied to you


We will not divulge this information to any third parties, except as we are required to by law.



By making a Booking Request you agree that you and all people in your party accept and agree to these terms and conditions and that you will indemnify Highwood Camping fully and effectively against all loss and damage arising directly or indirectly, from any act or default by yourself or any person or animal accompanying you. Unless required by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of goodwill and our maximum liability shall be no more than to refund the amount paid by you for the holiday. We shall have no liability to you for any failure to perform any of our obligations under the contract if and to the extent that the failure is caused by matters outside of our control, including by act of God, governmental restriction, condition or control or by reason of any act done or not done pursuant to trade dispute, shortages of labour or materials or breakdown of machinery or any other matter.

No person (except you and us) shall have any rights pursuant to the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
